The striking Sting Red paintwork still shines beautifully with only minor wear and tear to the front area of the car because of some country driving. The Holden Special Vehicles SV5000 was a proper V8 bruiser and was built in very limited numbers (359 in total) between 1989 and 1991. Based on the VN Commodore, the SV5000 started life in Holdens Elizabeth plant in South Australia before being transferred to the boffins over at HSV, who were located in Notting Hill in Victoria at the time. This particular SV5000 is finished in SV Racing Green, one of only a handful of colours available on the SV5000 model. Both inside and out this SV5000 presents nicely and has only minor modifications such as a stereo and exhaust upgrade. Comes with original logbook, logbook folder and broadcast sheet. BUILD # 071/240 The GTS Maloos street presence is clearly identifiable through the adoption of GTSs unique front fascia design that delivers both an aggressive stance and an extensive air-intake surface area to deliver the required engine cooling. The GTS Maloo is available with either a TR6060 (MG9 spec) 6-speed manual transmission with oil cooler and twin plate clutch, or an optional 6L90E 6-speed heavy duty automatic transmission with oil cooler. Complementing the LSA powertrain is HSVs premium braking package lightweight AP radical forged 6-piston brake calipers with 390mm (front) and 372mm (rear) 2-piece rotors. In addition, and what is believed to be a global first for a utility, the GTS Maloo is fitted with Torque Vectoring. Currently only fitted to a few exclusive global marques and HSVs GEN-F GTS, Torque Vectoring helps reduce understeer by generating a rotational moment in the rear axle when the vehicle is under power. The vehicles Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system detects the understeer event, applies braking to the inside rear wheel and transfers torque to the outside rear wheel. HSVs unique Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs), side skirts, twin-hump hard tonneau and performance sail-plane help complete the visual makeover and are complemented by light-weight 20 Blade forged alloy wheels presented in a new Dark Stainless finish. Shadow-chrome quad exhaust tips and a unique number plate surround paintout combine to deliver an aggressive rear-end look with LSA and GTS badges adorning the tail-gate. HSV Performance seats wrapped in Onyx leather trim, or the optional Red Hot leather trim, set off an interior which also features a broad range of driver convenience and safety technologies. The GTS Maloo features HSVs Driver Preference Dial which facilitates the adjustment of the vehicles ESC, Traction Control, Launch Control (manual transmission), Torque Vectoring, Electric Power Steering and new electric Bi-Modal Exhaust according to three distinct pre-set modes Touring, Sport and Performance. Head-up Display, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Rain Sensing Wipers enhance the driver environment while the unique Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) system provides the driver with all the performance data he or she will require. Build of the GTS Maloo has been limited to just 250 vehicles (240 for Australia and 10 for New Zealand) with each build plate individually numbered. An Aussie legend on two and four wheels. Wayne Gardners career highlights include no less than 18 Grand Prix wins from a decade long partnership with Honda, along with becoming the first Australian to take the coveted 500ccMotorcycle World Championship title. Following his retirement from front line motorcycle racing at the end of 1992, Gardner made a much publicised switch to touring cars. This in turn led to Gardners foray into the world of road cars, in the form of the Wayne Gardner Racing Road Division's Group A Commodore. Sensing a gap in the market between the increasingly expensive HSV products and the regular Commodore line up. Gardner's outfit planned to offer a wide range of engine, suspension and bodywork modifications at relatively affordable prices. Tapping into the expertise available via his racing team WGR upgrades included a cold-air induction system re-profiled camshaft, revised computer settings, intake and exhaust mods to increase power to 195kW. Based on the contemporary VR/VS Commodore with its slippery 'aero' styling, WGR''s Group A body package was the work of Sydney design studio Talon which included a deep front spoiler with integrated driving lights, side skirts and a boot mounted rear wing complete with carbon-fiber end plates. The choice of wheels was the 18inch 5 spoke alloy MOMO wheel complemented by the custom Recaro interior supplied by Autotek other cosmetic touches included a MOMO steering wheel with a carbon-fiber center console. The main objective for WGR vehicles were to build them with quality tailored for customer requirements. This particular example is totally original which comes with all documentation showing Wayne Gardner Racing as the first owner, logbooks and service history.  It is the prototype vehicle (001/033 in the Series 1 model) with unique features that the other 32 examples did not receive such as larger front bucket seats, carbon fiber air box and larger 18-inch diameter rims and not 17-inch items the other cars were fitted with. The vehicle presents in great condition throughout with minimum wear and tear only traveled just over 89,000km This rare classic is a must for any Holden collector or car enthusiast.
