Aussies can proudly say the XA Falcon, launched in 1972, is theirs. After all it was conceived, designed, engineered, and made in Australia.

All previous iterations were adapted from the US model of the same name. The big news with the XA was the introduction of the coupe that became its track weapon and had the GT-HO IV gone into production, it was going into this body in preference to the sedan. Read about it here.

Australian Muscle Car Sales has this one-of-one XA GT Falcon hardtop survivor claimed to be in day one trim, albeit now somewhat aged.  It has a JG33 GT engine, factory 4-speed top loader and 9-inch LSD.

Options include aircon, power windows, tinted front and rear glass, dual mirrors, an 8-track tape plyer, radio, front and rear spoilers.

It is one of 891 GT hardtops built, one of 473 with a top loader manual, one of 11 in Onyx Black, one of two with black trim and one of one in with this combination of options.

The GT comes with original keys and the ACCHS Ford Verification letter. Offers invited from $150,000. Here are the details.
