Family-spec six

Holden’s HT series signaled a major upgrade for the maker’s mainstream four-door and Monaro line-up, even if the exterior changes from the HK seemed relatively minor.

In a feature on the Monaro, we note: "Holden also got stuck into the chassis, with some changes intended to provide a smoother ride. Most significant according to the factory release of the day was ‘the new Y-frame engine cradle which isolates the engine transmission assembly from the passenger compartment, and the new front end geometry setting which gives an improved steering feel and greatly improved directional control’."

This extensively restored example is running a 186ci inline six with three-on-the-tree manual and claims just 53,600 miles on the odo.

Located in Port Macquarie, NSW, it’s on the market for $63,000.
