2010 Bentley Continental GT - today's tempter
Big W12
Big, fast, brutish yet supremely appointed – that pretty much describes the long line of performance Bentleys over the decades.
In a piece on the company’s long history we wrote: "Wild times. That’s probably the best way to describe the making of the Bentley name when it came to fast cars. We’re talking the 1920s, so the decade after the establishment of the company by Walter Owen Bentley (with involvement from his brother Horace). He was no shrinking violet, by the way. A talented engineer who designed engines for cars and aircraft, Walter also dabbled in car and motorcycle racing."
This Continental GT runs a 5.0lt W12 powerplant claiming 552hp (412kW) matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.
It’s with Paradise Garage in Sydney, priced at $119,950.
