The Holden HQ series is a range of automobiles that was produced by Holden in Australia from 1971 to 1974. The HQ was released on 15 July 1971, replacing the Holden HG series. It was the first ground up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. The HQ was later developed into a series of successor models, finally ending production when the WB series was discontinued in 1984. A Holden SS sedan was released in August 1972. Although marketed as a separate model it was a Belmont V8 sedan fitted with the XV2 option package. Production of the HQ range totaled 485,650 vehicles. This HQ is one of the very first HQs to roll of the assembly line in July 1971. The factory colour is Blackshaw Green matched perfectly to the Olive Green trim with distinctive Raydo cloth inserts. All original inside and out just like it left the factory. The white walls, hubcaps and mudflaps certainly make this beautiful Premier look the part. Dont let the stock appearance fool you though. Built in April of 2016 and purchased from Biti Motors in Culcairn NSW. Finished in beautiful Victory Gold with all the exclusive Sprint extras such as badging, striping, rear spoiler, and original Sprint wheels. Sporting the famous 5.0 litre Coyote Supercharged Ford engine that pumps out 345 kilowatts which is 462 horsepower in standard form and with 400 kilowatts and 535 horsepower with overboost which will slingshot this Sprint from 0-100 in approximately 4.5 seconds and 12.6 in the standing quarter!! Only 750 examples only ever produced in the Sprint model and this car is build number 106. Of the 750 XR8 Sprints made 51 were produced in Victory Gold Metallic. With its striking factory Bronze Wine colour and beige vinyl roof, together with the beautiful black vinyl interior this car is all class. The paintwork is in terrific condition and so too are all the mouldings and chrome work. The car has been treated to a set of five slot wheels along with an external Sunvisor in beige vinyl to match the roof. The trim in the Fairlane is all to factory specifications. Under the bonnet is the original matching number 351 Cleveland K code motor that has been restored to original. The ZD runs its original C4 automatic and 9 diff. In 1993, the significantly redesigned VR Senator was released. The rear seating was from the Holden Statesman. Along with the rest of the HSV range, the Senator body kit was penned by designer Ian Callum to produce a sleeker, more aggressive stance along with a 185 kW (248 hp) version of the 5.0-litre V8. A new suspension setup was developed, known as the touring package which aimed to provide capable handling and a smooth ride. Additionally, from May 1994 onwards, the Senator could be optioned with HSV's new 215 kW (288 hp) 5.7-litre "stroker" V8 known as the "215i". The $10,000 "stroker" engine option was hand built as an upgrade over the standard V8. Up for sale here is a beautiful 1994 model Holden VR Senator HSV. The Sherbrooke Green paintwork presents very well along with Slate Grey leather trim. Under the bonnet is the highly sort after 215kw 5.7 litre stroker engine backed by the four-speed automatic transmission. The odometer is showing 137872 kilometres. Original logbook and folder are still with the car. Build number is 595 of just 855 cars produced in this model by Holden Special Vehicles. The Clubsport has a brand-new electric sunroof fitted (still under warranty) and is lowered on 20-inch Tri Spoke aftermarket rims. Muscle Car Warehouse now offer for sale this beautiful Ford XB Falcon 500. Commissioned by the Victorian Police force when it was used as an unmarked highway patrol car until 1977. It was originally ordered with a 351 T code engine (identical to the Falcon GT), FMX automatic transmission and a 9 diff. Further to this this car was also factory fitted with power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, tramp rods and a dual exhaust system. This car is basically a Falcon GT in a Falcon 500 body! Finished in the subtle colour of Skyview Blue and saddle trim and believed to be one of only six cars ordered in the colour with the T code engine. Other notable features are a GT bonnet and driving lights. Currently running 12 slot wheels and GS caps but with the original steel rims and dog dish hubcaps included. Still running the matching number engine with original components such as Motorcraft coil, engine lift hooks, the dog tag on the radiator support and original four-barrel Motorcraft carbie still with thecar.
