This Mustang Coupe was built in Ford's San Jose, Northern California plant on the 21st January 1967 and was painted Maroon Metallic and featured luxury Black bucket seat vinyl interior. It was produced as a C-code 289cui-2v V8 engined car with a C4 3-spd floor-shift automatic transmission and driven through a conventional 3.10:1 differential, and was first delivered to the Seattle, Washington State DSO on the US Pacific North-West Coast.
This is a very good entry level Mustang. The 1967's were among the most prized and when you consider the highly desirable 'Luxury Interior' (65B) factory trim that was fitted to this car, you will see that this car is a nice find.
The body is quite solid, especially by Mustang standards. The paint is older with plenty of imperfections, including scratches, chips and dents. There is some minor bubbling on the passenger front door corner and the wheel lip on the passenger quarter panel in front of the wheel. Otherwise, it doesn't have any obvious signs of rust. The floors look solid with the undercoating having been beautifully preserved by the original factory red oxide paint. With a bit of elbow grease and a plastic scraper this floor would look amazing.
Inside the interior is mostly original with the exception of a new reproduction carpet kit. The upholstery shows well, but there is a seam separation on the drivers seat. The overhead console shows in excellent condition.
Under the bonnet, the 289 has been nicely detailed and looks incredible. It fires up easily and runs well. The engine appears to be the original and still wears the build tag.
So, there you have it, a good solid driver in original unmolested condition, ready for whatever you decide to do drive or restore!
