Now available for sale is this rare Holden VP Commodore SV91. Build 52 of only 103 ever produced and rarely offered for sale these days. First released in October 1991 and manufactured by Holden in Elizabeth, South Australia. Powered by the mighty Holden 5.0 litre V8 engine backed up with a four-speed automatic transmission. The SV91, identified by its unique Euro Blue colour and matched also to the unique Steel Blue interior with HSV embroidered seats. Extra to this uniqueness is front and rear bumper assemblies, an open grille, side skirts, front wheel arch mouldings and a rear spoiler with stop lamp and nicely finished off with the subtle SV91 decal on the boot lid also. In 1993, the significantly redesigned VR Senator was released. The rear seating was from the Holden Statesman. Along with the rest of the HSV range, the Senator body kit was penned by designer Ian Callum to produce a sleeker, more aggressive stance along with a 185 kW (248 hp) version of the 5.0-litre V8. A new suspension setup was developed, known as the touring package which aimed to provide capable handling and a smooth ride. Additionally, from May 1994 onwards, the Senator could be optioned with HSV's new 215 kW (288 hp) 5.7-litre "stroker" V8 known as the "215i". The $10,000 "stroker" engine option was hand built as an upgrade over the standard V8. Up for sale here is a beautiful 1994 model Holden VR Senator HSV.
