The Holden Special Vehicles SV5000 was a proper V8 bruiser and was built in very limited numbers (359 in total) between 1989 and 1991. Based on the VN Commodore, the SV5000 started life in Holdens Elizabeth plant in South Australia before being transferred to the boffins over at HSV, who were located in Notting Hill in Victoria at the time. This particular SV5000 is finished in SV Racing Green, one of only a handful of colours available on the SV5000 model. Both inside and out this SV5000 presents nicely and has only minor modifications such as a stereo and exhaust upgrade. Comes with original logbook, logbook folder and broadcast sheet. On offer for sale is this 2000 Holden Commodore Team Brock Future Tourer raced by James Brock in the 2000/2001 BOC Gases Australian Super Touring Championship. Originally built by Brock under the Diamond Valley Speed Shop banner after Brock had claimed victory in the inaugural category race at Mount Panorama in 1999 with a VS Commodore, this VT Commodore made its racing debut at Oran Park in July 2000 and competed in Brock Jnrs hands with backing of V8 Sleuth partner Biante Model Cars. The car also saw a certain P. Brock jump behind the wheel for some practice laps, including. When the BOC Gases Series under TOCA Australia stopped after the summer of 2000/2001 season, the car ended up competing in a handful of Future Tourer races at Power Tour/Super Truck events and was later used as a driver training car under the Team Brock banner, updated to VY specification.
