Inspired XY GTHO Falcon TribUTE Ute
Built from a superb rust-free survivor XW Falcon Ute, this XY GTHO Falcon-themed TribUTE showcases what Ford might have created in the 1970s to transform the humble Falcon Ute into a powerful bruiser of a car. Featuring a brand new 351 Cleveland 4V engine, 4-speed single rail gearbox, carburettor, and ignition, this GT TribUTE has everything new, making it the perfect weekend cruiser, fun work vehicle, or super cool company promotional tool.
History and Transformation
Starting life as a mild-mannered, hard-working country Ute originally delivered in Country Victoria, this Falcon has been meticulously transformed into a bute GT TribUTE. Painted in factory True Blue with GT black striping and blackouts, it boasts XY GT teardrop mirrors, a fuel cap, and brand new Globe Bathurst Wheels with 8 fronts and 10 rears. The rear guards have been hand-flared to accommodate the increased rubber, making it a real head-turner.
Interior Features
The interior is fully updated with new GT black trim and new door cards, featuring a period-correct AM/FM and Bluetooth sound system, quarter vent windows, stainless steel rubbing plates, a genuine GT dash, console and instrumentation, and a rim blow GT steering wheel.
Performance and Mechanics
Built to follow the GT/GTHO theme closely, this TribUTE runs a 4V 351 Cleveland, an HO-spec Holley carburettor, extractors, a GTHO-style brake master, a 16:1 steering box, a GTHO-style shaker, and a GT-style radiator support with a 3-core radiator. It also features a genuine XY GT Top Loader 4-speed gearbox with the correct shifter and a tall 3.25:1 ratio centre giving the car an easy 120Km + cruising speed .
Attention to Detail
The attention to detail is second to none, with GT parts including genuine spotlights, Trico wiper blades, new rims and caps, a square-based aerial, bumper over riders, brand new seats, and a custom loop-less tonneau. A full brake and suspension rebuild ensures that nothing has been left to chance.
This is an excellent example of an XY GT TribUTE in virtually new condition throughout. The current owner has enjoyed it for many years, and it is now ready for the next custodian to drive and enjoy. There is nothing to spend, as the car has just undergone an $100k rebuild and is awaiting some minor moulds and trims.
