FORD, FAIRMONT, 1971, FAIRMONT XY CARB 5.8L 4 SP MANUAL

The Holden HQ series is a range of automobiles that was produced by Holden in Australia from 1971 to 1974. The HQ was released on 15 July 1971, replacing the Holden HG series. It was the first ground up redesign of the Holden line since its original release in 1948, and included an all-new body, chassis, and suspension. The HQ was later developed into a series of successor models, finally ending production when the WB series was discontinued in 1984. A Holden SS sedan was released in August 1972. Although marketed as a separate model it was a Belmont V8 sedan fitted with the XV2 option package. Production of the HQ range totaled 485,650 vehicles. This HQ is one of the very first HQs to roll of the assembly line in July 1971. The factory colour is Blackshaw Green matched perfectly to the Olive Green trim with distinctive Raydo cloth inserts. All original inside and out just like it left the factory. The white walls, hubcaps and mudflaps certainly make this beautiful Premier look the part. Dont let the stock appearance fool you though. Sitting under the hood is a mild 350 Chev V8 motor backed up with a Turbo 400 auto transmission. This car is ideal for anyone looking for a great entry level cruiser at an affordable price. Muscle Car Warehouse bring to the market this Ford Falcon XY Ute. The Ute was restored approximately four years ago in its original colour of Yellow Ochre. When restored all the GS extras were fitted such as side stripes and wheel caps. Other features include a GT front spoiler, Shaker, bonnet stripes, bonnet locks and driving lights. The interior also received the GT trim when restored while remaining with the original saddle colour. Seats, door trims, steering wheel and dash were all upgraded to GT specs. An aftermarket stereo has been installed in the glovebox so that the original look is kept. The Ute was originally ordered with a 302 Windsor and a four speed Top Loader transmission. Now running a 351 Windsor with a mild cam, Edelbrock intake and extractors. The Top Loader gearbox remains, and the diff is a 9 with a 3.5 ratio. This Ute presents beautifully and are hard to come by in this condition particularly factory V8 cars like this one.
